INDEPENDENCE DAY SPEECH -2025

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2025 -ENGLISH SPEECH

Good morning everyone,
Today, we are gathered here to celebrate our Indian Independence Day. This is a very special day for all of us because, on this day in 1947, our country became free from British rule. This year, we are proudly celebrating the 79th Independence Day of our country.
Many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose fought for our freedom. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” We should remember his words and try to help others whenever we can.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said, “At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” These words remind us of the importance of this day and how precious our freedom is.
Independence Day reminds us to be proud of our country and to respect the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose told us, “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!” We are free today because of the courage and sacrifice of our heroes.
Let us also remember what Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel said, “Take to the path of dharma—the path of truth and justice.” As students, let us promise to be honest, hardworking, and helpful to our friends.
Let us work together to make India even better and make our parents and teachers proud.
                                                   Jai Hind!
                                                 Thank you.

INDEPENDENCE DAY SPEECH-2

Good morning respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends!

Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the Independence Day of our country, India. Every year, on 15th August, we remember the day when our country became free from British rule in 1947.

Why do we celebrate Independence Day?

We celebrate this day to remember the sacrifice and bravery of our great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, and many others. They fought very hard so that we can live in a free country.

Mahatma Gandhi said, “The future depends on what you do today.”This means we should do good things now to make our country better in the future.

On this special day, we see our beautiful flag—the Tiranga—flying high. The saffron color stands for courage, white for peace, and green for growth. The wheel in the center is called the Ashoka Chakra, and it stands for progress.

Let’s remember:

“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”

—This is a famous quote by John F. Kennedy. It teaches us to contribute and help our country in every possible way.

As children, we can help by being honest, respecting elders, studying well, and keeping our surroundings clean.

Let’s promise today to love our country and keep it clean and green.

Jai Hind! Bharat Mata Ki Jai!

Thank you.
